Penicillin AntibioticRx

Amoxicillin

Generic: Amoxicillin

Treat bacterial infections

⚙️ Work Mechanism:

Amoxicillin destroys bacteria by sabotaging their ability to construct protective cell walls. As bacteria divide, their cell walls weaken and pop under fluid pressure, curing the bacterial infection.

Antibiotic (Penicillin + Beta-Lactamase Inhibitor)Prescription

Amoxicillin and Potassium Clavulanate

Generic: Amoxicillin Trihydrate and Potassium Clavulanate

Indicated for severe or recurrent acute otitis media, acute bacterial sinusitis, community-acquired pneumonia, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, uncomplicated and complicated urinary tract infections (pyelonephritis, recurrent cystitis), skin and soft-tissue infections (cellulitis, animal bites, severe dental abscesses), and intra-abdominal or pelvic infections.

⚙️ Work Mechanism:

This medicine combines two active agents that work together as a powerful antibacterial team: Amoxicillin attacks and breaks down the bacterial cell wall, causing bacteria to rupture and die. Potassium Clavulanate acts as an enzyme shield, disarming the chemical weapons (beta-lactamase enzymes) that resistant bacteria produce to destroy antibiotics. By neutralizing bacterial resistance, the combination cures deep and persistent infections.
